I, personally, am here because I love this business and through the years have found some great people, some of which would call for flowers and end up giving me words of wisdom, or say the one thing I needed to hear, just for that day. I have been here for nearly 20 years now and still hear certain conversations I have had with really good people, and certain ones will last me for a life time. People come and go through our lives, some bring treasures, some bring silent messages, some just a simple smile, or a single flower picked from a field. Then there are many who will leave footprints in our lives, memories, stories and visions. Being here gives me alot. I have that single flower, I have had it for quite some time now, my dad picked it for me... and I have kept it close because his hands touched my heart the day he picked it! I once seen this garden, I was inspired by the way Mother Nature had planted herself and so I decided that it needed a name. I called it Alice in wonderland. Engulfing myself in it, my desire was to swallow it up, take it home with me, keep it forever, and make it mine.
Instead I choose to make it….I am a floral designer and when I design, it is as though I can go there, I see things, whether it be from a past moment that I may have spent on a mountain top, or a child, running through a wild field of flowers with my brother, or a single recent day, driving through a wonderland of color. I can move my hands through the memories of the footsteps of my life. Create them in a cut flower arrangement, go back to the places I wanted to keep and treasure forever. So here I stand, making my past imagination come to real life, places of color, blooms, depth, sound and whatever else the imagination souls up. The undisturbed gardens of our lives are treasures, we don’t always pick from them to satisfy our souls, some are really just for looking, as in the flower arrangements I do create for you. And so, I see things and I want you to see them too. It is my joy and my pleasure!
